Dan Schmatz

I am a 33 year former professional cyclist living in Louisville Colorado. I have lived in the front range for almost 10 years but still call St. Louis Missouri my hometown. After a year of waiting for the US government to say it was ok I can now call Myriam Desrosiers Myriam Schmatz. On December 19th we received the greatest gift of all with the arrival of Samuel Michael Schmatz. So this is the new chapter of my life. Myriam, Samuel, Kayla and I are living and loving life together and if you would like to this is where you can follow along and share in our ups and downs. In my 33 years I have ridden or raced almost everything with two wheels and I spent the past 6 years professionally racing road bicycles. It was amazing and I will never forget the things, people and places that I expierenced.

In October of 2007 I started working for St. Louis based THF Realty in one of the satellite offices in Brighton Colorado. With the support of my friend Michael Staenberg I formed the THF Realty Cycling Team. My goal is to build a great amateur development team so I can give back to the sport that I enjoy so much.
