Reading the reports from Gila it sounds like a bad crash including Tom Zirbel and Fausto Espanza Munoz of Tecos. When I read ” said Espanza reported no sensations below his waist” it makes me sick to my stomach. Its part of bike racing but crashing sucks, from a little road rash, broken bones to a helicopter ride and possible paralysis and we all know bad things can happen on a bike and most the time it doesn’t. Stuff like this puts things in perspective…
