Anyone that knows me or checks out my blog probably knows about my love for Pitbulls. My friend Dirk sent me and email and photo of this beautiful girl and she needs a home. Living in a smaller place without a yard bringing to Louisville isn’t really an option for me but this is your chance to bring in one of the most faithful and loving breeds into your home. Roughly 3 weeks ago we found a stray pit bull wandering around U- city (near St. louis Mo.) She had a harness on (the kind that goes over the shoulders)
but no collar or tags. We simply called her and she came running. We brought her into the shop and started calling everyone we knew to start searching for her owners. After fostering her for a night, we decided that bringing her the APA would be wise, because we would all check there ourselves if our dogs ran away. And we could see if she was chipped. The bad news was that she was not chipped, and that due to the 2 dogs I already have at home (that don’t like other dogs) and the two cats, I couldn’t continue to foster her. I reluctantly left her there and promised myself to do all I could to find her a good home. I’ve made tons of phone calls to no-kill shelters but it seems everyone is full. Any ideas? I am willing to pay for her “release” at the APA and to drive her to her new home.
In the short time that I spent with Roxy I fell in love with her. She is super sweet, happy, and loving. She’s met a few other dogs and is quite submissive to them. She is also potty trained, and well behaved in the car. She is strong, like a bull…….when we walked her, she more or less walked us, WOW. She is also beautiful, brindle from head
to toe.
